Returns and Refunds Policy
If you’re not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.
Qualified products purchased through the Solar Steals website can be returned within 30 days of original purchase or 14 days of delivery, whichever is greater. The return policy for purchases made through third-party websites (e.g. Amazon, eBay, etc) are listed on those platforms. No returned merchandise will be accepted without a Return Material Authorization (RMA). To be considered for return, please ensure the following:
- The product is in the original, unmodified condition purchased
- New products must be returned with original, unopened packaging
Clearance, “final sale”, as-is products, and gift cards aren’t eligible for return. Returns take at least two weeks to process. In the event a returned product is determined by Solar Steals to not be defective in workmanship or materials (i.e. there is “no trouble found”), Solar Steals will apply a 30% restocking fee. We will credit you in the same manner as your original payment within 30 days of receiving the returned item.
*Accessories, Bundles, and Discounts
Please return items with all accessories and packaging. If you do not, we may either deny the return, or allow a return with a nonrefundable deduction on your refund for what is missing. If you received a discount or free item by purchasing multiple items together, you will lose that benefit if you do not return all items purchased.
When purchasing items as part of a “Buy One, Get One” (BOGO) promotion, the promotional discount is based on the lowest priced item, then applied to each item proportionately. If you choose to return any of the items, your refund will be reduced to the discounted amount for each item.
*Items Damaged in Shipping
IMPORTANT: if you receive a product that appears damaged from shipping, take photographs of the entire package while the delivery vehicle is on-site. Insurance claims for damaged products cannot be authorized or processed without this!
Please refer to the email you received entitled “Your Solar Steals order has been shipped! What to expect next:”. This email can be re-sent at your request.
Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of a product are non-refundable. We pay return shipping costs if the product is defective, or the return is a result of our error. If the product is returned for any other reason, you’re responsible for return shipping costs.
Solar Steals cannot accept international returns or exchanges. Products purchased through the Solar Steals website only ship to the Contiguous United States for domestic use. Any returns shipped outside of this area may incur extra duties and fees, which are the responsibility of the customer. Solar Steals is not responsible for any brokerage fees, customs, duties, or additional charges for returns or warranty replacements. If the return is damaged in shipping, Solar Steals will not be able to process the return.
